SUPPORT THE CHILDREN
HOW TO HELP - Donating is the only way we can help serve these children and young adults living in Foster Care. Whether you choose to donate in honor of the founder of this organization, Kathryn A. Basile that helps to assist in getting those things that are not a priority in Foster Care such as laptops for H.S. students, prom dresses and tuxes, class rings, etc. All the things that are basically a right of passage that most of us take for granted, sadly is not something these kids can have without our help.

If you choose to donate in honor of our very dear friend, Michael Caso, the Michael Caso Scholarship Program donations will go directly to young women and men entering the work force after High School who will follow in Michael's footsteps to become highly trained, licensed Electricians. These students will receive text books, tools of the trade and classes at the Ben Franklin Institute in Boston, Mass.
OUR CAUSE
Foster children are among the most at risk children in America, and research has shown that better education is one of the keys that can enable them to make a successful transition from state care into adulthood.

The Kathryn A. Basile Foster A Dream Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving the needs and enriching the lives of children and young adults in foster care. Through our many ongoing programs and partnerships, we make opportunities available to children that provide them with a healthy, positive outlook and life experiences.
Our goal is to ensure that all children have an equal opportunity in life and love, delivering meaningful and formative interactions that build resilience, confidence and ambition.

Only your donation can help offer the tools that these young adults need to succeed in life. Please learn more about our work, and we hope you will consider making a one-time or recurring donation today.

Kathryn A. Basile was a driven, inspirational and true child advocate. She established the foundation in 2009, before she lost her battle with cancer, in order to carry on her life’s work and love of children.

Through the foundation’s many ongoing programs and partnerships, we make opportunities available to children that provide them with a healthy, positive outlook and life experiences. Our goal is to ensure that all children have an equal opportunity in life and love, delivering meaningful and formative interactions that build resilience, confidence and ambition.

“Kathy wanted to ensure that children in foster care have an equal opportunity in life – that they have the same opportunities as children raised in more traditional and stable family settings,” said Tom Gonzalez, foundation president and Basile’s husband. “Foster children face so many everyday difficulties in life, challenges that go unseen and unknown by those of us who are not familiar with the world of foster care; we feel that anything we can do to ease those difficulties is an extremely worthy and important cause.”

We want to thank our many past donors and other supporters for your generous donations in helping to keep Kathy’s work alive, and ultimately fulfilling the dreams of so many children in need.
We believe that all children deserve a strong, loving foundation in life. Together with the help of caring individuals, corporate donors and partner organizations, we can significantly improve the quality of life for these young people, creating the opportunity for brighter and more promising futures for them.
